ETHICAL POLICY - It's not just about profit...

When Nappy Head was conceived in 2002 the focus wasn't just on providing customers with alternative baby clothing and t-shirts. We focused on ensuring we conducted ourselves with the highest standard of business ethics and respect for human rights. As such we invested a great deal of time and energy sourcing a factory and suppliers who meet with our stringent requirements.

You can rest assured, when you purchase an item of Nappy Head clothing (babywear, maternity t-shirts or our t-shirts for dad) that your purchase does not contribute to the social injustice seen in manufacturing, this is commonly known as 'sweatshop labour'. The factories we utillise to produce our babywear have a transparent supply chain and are audited by the 'Fair Wear Foundation'

.

- No use of forced labour
- No child labour
- Healthy and safe working conditions
- Contracts which are legal
- Payment of a living wage
- No discrimination against workers
- No excessive hours of work

The Fair Wear Foundations (FWF) primary function is to promoted fair labour conditions within the garment manufacturing industry worldwide. Our baby clothes adhere to the FWF's Code of practice and thereby we are committed to monitor the factories that supplies our baby clothing.

FWF is governed by a number of organisations. You can find out about the International Labour Organisation and the international labour convections by visiting www.ilo.org

Environmental Justice Foundation - All Nappy Head baby clothes are labelled with country of origin of the cotton used, Demonstrating our commitment to fight against child ablour and worker rights in countires known for these practice, such as Uzbekistan.
